FAQs

  • Industry-grade ceramic coating is a chemical polymer solution that is applied to the exterior of a vehicle to protect it from external paint damage. Typically applied by hand, it blends with the paint of your car and creates an additional hydrophobic layer of protection.

  • Installing a ceramic coating is an extremely tedious process. Below is a breakdown of how ceramic coatings are installed.

    100% Hand Car Wash

Using PH neutral soap and a clean wash mitt and safe towel to dry.

Clay treatment to mechanically decontaminate the paint followed by a chemical decontamination with iron removers.

Labor intensive Machine Paint enhancement or correction

We must make your car’s paint as close to perfect as possible so that we don’t seal those defects under the coating.

We apply a panel prep cleansing solution to give the coating a proper surface to bond too. Unlike wax coatings bond to your clear coat.

    Tedious Panel by Panel Installation

We apply the coating panel-by-panel with an applicator and special soft towels to prevent further damage.

  • Think about wax and ceramic coatings as two different roads that lead to the same destination. They are different materials that perform the same task: protect your vehicle’s exterior surfaces. Both provide a sacrificial layer that is intended to shield your car’s surface from sun exposure, moisture and environmental pollution. Wax is the old, winding 2-lane road that leads into town and ceramic is the new, 6-lane wide expressway that gets you there in half the time.

  • Regularly washing your vehicle will increase performance and durability of a ceramic coating. We recommend washing every other week. Usage of the vehicle, seasons and parking conditions could warrant more frequent washing

We recommend that you use either the two bucket wash method or rinseless washing with products such as Optimum No Rinse.

Touch-free car washes can be used when necessary but hand washing is a must when possible. If using a touch free car wash, do so in the mornings or evenings.

Only use clean wash media (wash bucket, sponges, microfiber towels)

Microfiber towels should be washed with a detergent that does not contain additives or perfumes (All Free & Clear). Do not use fabric softener. Wash and dry towels separate from your other laundry. Wash and dry on cool/ no heat.

Use a separate bucket for your wheels and tires

    Never wash in direct sunlight

Wash top to bottom, front to back

Thoroughly dry the vehicle to avoid water spotting

Do NOT use abrasive towels or microfiber towels to wipe off debris on a dry or dirty surface.

Do NOT use any car soaps or shampoos with wax, petroleum distillates, or a pH under 5.0 or above 9.0.
